Perched atop a small hill overlooking the rolling hills of Montalcino in Southern Tuscany,  Terra Linda Studios is a state of the art, purpose built recording studio offering breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. Nestled amidst an award-winning Brunello vineyard, the spacious live room has panoramic views of sloping vineyards, hilltop villages and mountain ranges, offering maximum inspiration and relaxation.

Both Musicians and Brunello producers themselves, owners Athena and Mario Bollag share a passion for Beauty, Music and Fine Wines.  A seasoned recording artist as well as owner and designer of Sonic Arts Studios in Brooklyn New York, Athena designed Terra Linda Studios with optimal natural acoustics, productivity and relaxation in mind.  Mario Bollag contributed his signature architectural style to the construction, creating a truly beautiful structure both inside and out.  With its exquisite scenery, beautiful natural acoustics and state of the art technology, Terra Linda Studios offers a truly unique recording environment, complimented further by a glass the couple’s own Brunello di Montalcino.

Terra Linda Studios includes a large live room, easily accommodating a chamber orchestra, separate drum and vocal booths, a full kitchen, bath and lounge.  There are also two covered balconies as well as a charming outdoor dining area.   Just 2km from the town of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, and 8km from Montalcino, there are numerous restaurants, wine bars and café’s within a few minutes drive.

The live room has a unique, slightly curved, pine ceiling with massive wooden beams providing perfect diffusion of sound while maintaining life and clarity.  The rosewood floors were hand selected in Thailand for their rich color and warmth. Separate drum and vocal booths with individual headphone mixes make recording live a pleasure.   Every window was custom made with angled glass resulting in a very balanced recording environment, a favorite for recording drums as well as strings and vocals.
